This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the proper installation of the FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, including cable preparation, sleeve modification, and final assembly to ensure a secure and sealed connection. Installation must be performed by trained installers in accordance with all applicable electrical codes and safety rules.

Cable cleaning tool, Marking tool (pencil), Utility knife or sharp cutting tool, Compression tool (for lugs), Wrench or socket set
Supplies needed:
FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, Electrical cable, Electrical lug, Bus bar, Silicone grease
- Clean the cable
Clean the cable thoroughly before installing the rocket sleeve to ensure proper adhesion and sealing.
- Mark the cable insulation
Pencil the cable insulation to the appropriate length for the lug and sleeve, preparing it for the next steps.
- Select the correct cut ring
Refer to the raised numbers on each cut ring to match the conductor size being installed to the correct ring for the rocket sleeve.
- Cut the rocket sleeve
Cut off the tip of the rocket sleeve up to the selected ring. This cut will expose the required conductor range on the sleeve.
- Lubricate and slide sleeve onto cable
Lubricate both ends of the rocket sleeve and the prepared cable with silicone grease. Hold the cable at an angle to the sleeve opening, then twist and push the rocket sleeve onto the cable.
- Compress the lug
Compress the electrical lug securely onto the prepared cable using an appropriate compression tool.
- Slide sleeve over lug and onto bus
Slide the rocket sleeve over the compressed lug and onto the shoulder of the bus bar until the rocket sleeve butts against the rubber of the connector bar.
- Bolt the terminal
Bolt the terminal (with the installed lug and sleeve) securely to the bus bar, ensuring a firm electrical connection.
