Associations & Community Involvement

Gross Automation is an active member of the Wisconsin business community, and our leadership invests personal time in the organizations that strengthen local industry and the neighborhoods we serve. Below are the associations we belong to and the community and civic work our team leads.

Business & Industry Associations

We are members of, and active participants in, the organizations that advance Wisconsin business and manufacturing:

  • Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC)

We are members of the MMAC. Robert Gross and Dan take part in its C-Level roundtables, and William participates in the Emerging Leader roundtable.

  • Waukesha County Business Alliance (WCBA)

Robert Gross serves on the Alliance's Manufacturing Council and in its CEO Roundtable Group.

  • Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW)

Robert Gross is a past president of the IBAW and a current member of its Board of Directors, advocating for small and midsize Wisconsin businesses.

Gross Automation is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, and Robert Gross is a two-time Wisconsin Titan 100 honoree (2023 and 2024). See our Awards & Recognition page for the full list of honors.

Community & Civic Leadership

Giving back is part of who we are — it flows from the core values and culture that guide our company, set out in our Quality Policy (PDF). It is a whole-company effort: our team turns out, gladly, for causes throughout the year. Together we support community efforts including the Tosa For Tots holiday toy drive, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House at Froedtert Hospital, Earth Day events, and meal-packing for Feed My Starving Children.

Members of our leadership also give their time to service organizations across Greater Milwaukee:

  • Kiwanis International

Robert Gross is the current president of the Wauwatosa club.

  • Lions Clubs International

Robert Gross is a former president and a current member of the Board of Directors of his local Lions club.

  • Scouting America — Three Harbors Council

Scouting runs deep at Gross Automation. Robert Gross serves the Three Harbors Council as a commissioner, a chartering organization representative, and a unit committee chair; Dan and Jim are Scout leaders; and William and Troy are both Eagle Scouts.
