This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Force Fit Type Connector Kit, applicable to various conductor sizes including CFG 4 CS. Ensure installation is performed by trained installers in accordance with all applicable electrical codes and safety rules to prevent electric shock.

Cable cleaning supplies, Pencil, Cutting tool, Crimping tool, Wrench or Socket
Supplies needed:
FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, Cable, Lug, Bus, Silicone grease
- Clean the Cable
Thoroughly clean the cable before proceeding with the rocket sleeve installation to ensure proper contact and sealing.
- Pencil Cable Insulation
Pencil the cable insulation to mark the appropriate length for preparation, ensuring accuracy for subsequent steps.
- Identify Correct Cut Ring
Refer to the cable range indicated by raised numbers on each cut ring of the rocket sleeve. For CFG 4 CS, the reference cut ring is #4. Match the conductor size being installed to the correct ring.
- Cut Rocket Sleeve Tip
Cut off the tip of the rocket sleeve up to the selected ring (e.g., Cut Ring #4 for CFG 4 CS). Ensure the proper cut leaves the required conductor range visible on the sleeve.
- Compress the Lug
Use a suitable crimping tool to compress the lug securely onto the prepared cable, ensuring a strong electrical and mechanical connection.
- Lubricate and Install Sleeve onto Cable
Lubricate both ends of the rocket sleeve and the cable with silicone grease. Hold the cable at an angle to the sleeve's opening. Twist the rocket sleeve while pushing it onto the cable until it is fully seated.
- Slide Sleeve onto Lug and Bus
Slide the rocket sleeve further over the lug and onto the shoulder of the bus. Continue pushing until the rocket sleeve butts firmly against the rubber of the connector bar.
- Bolt the Terminal
Securely bolt the terminal to the bus using appropriate tools, ensuring all connections are tight and meet specified torque requirements.
