This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit with CFG 1/0 CS cable, ensuring a secure and properly sealed connection. WARNING: Installation must be performed by trained installers in accordance with all applicable local, state, and national electrical codes, installation standards, and safety rules.

Cable cleaning solution or wipes, Marker or pencil, Cutting tool (e.g., utility knife, cable cutters), Crimping tool, Wrench or socket set
Supplies needed:
FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, CFG 1/0 CS Cable, Silicone grease, Electrical lug
- Prepare the Cable
Clean the cable thoroughly before installing the rocket sleeve. Mark the cable insulation with a pencil or marker as needed for preparation.
- Select and Prepare the Rocket Sleeve
For CFG 1/0 CS cable, refer to the cable range and identify Cut Ring #3 on the rocket sleeve. Cut off the tip of the sleeve precisely up to this selected ring. Ensure the proper cut leaves the required conductor range visible on the sleeve.
- Lubricate the Sleeve and Cable
Apply silicone grease to both ends of the rocket sleeve and the cable to facilitate installation and sealing.
- Install the Rocket Sleeve onto the Cable
Hold the cable at an angle to the sleeve's opening. Twist the rocket sleeve while pushing it firmly onto the cable until it is fully seated.
- Position the Sleeve and Lug
Slide the rocket sleeve over the electrical lug and onto the shoulder of the bus. Ensure the rocket sleeve butts firmly against the rubber of the connector bar.
- Compress the Electrical Lug
Using an appropriate crimping tool, compress the electrical lug securely onto the cable to establish a robust electrical connection.
- Bolt the Terminal to the Bus
Bolt the assembled terminal, including the compressed lug and rocket sleeve, firmly to the electrical bus to complete the connection.
