This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the PR2V12ATC Vertical Cable Manager on a 4-post rack, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Ratchet with M8, M10 & M17 socket, Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

M5 flange nuts, M10 carriage bolts, M6 screws, M10 flange nuts, Button plugs, Push-in rivets, Adhesive backed foam strips

  1. Mount the Vertical Cable Manager

    Place the Vertical Cable Manager in the proper orientation and secure it using (3) M10 serrated flange bolts and (3) M10 serrated flange nuts.

  2. Install Backbone Panels

    Place Backbone panels in the proper orientation on both sides of the manager and secure them using (2) provided push-in rivets per side. Install Backbone panels in all 3 manager openings.

  3. Attach the VCM Top Cap

    Position the VCM Top Cap with the brush entry oriented as desired, then secure it to the front of the VCM using a 5/16" screw and the rear closing clip to the rear channel of the rack using an M10 bolt and nut.

  4. Install End Panels

    Assemble the End Panel Channel by sliding the top channel into the bottom channel and securing with (2) M6 screws. Attach the End Panel Channel to the mounting brackets using (1) M6 screw per bracket.

  5. Secure the Top and Bottom End Panels

    Rest the integrated hook of the top End Panel on the manager and channel, replace the rear closing clip, and secure with (4) M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts. Repeat for the bottom End Panel.

  6. Prepare for Cable Installation

    To install cables through the Vertical Cable Manager Top Cap, remove (2) M5 screws from the topside of the Top Cap and the M10 nuts & bolts from the racks. Route cables through the brush entry and reassemble in reverse order.

  7. Seal Air Gaps

    Apply adhesive backed foam strips to all areas on the rack where air can still pass through to ensure proper sealing.
