How to Install the PR2V08ATC Vertical Cable Manager

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the PR2V08ATC Vertical Cable Manager on a 4-post rack, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Tools needed:

Ratchet with M8, M10 & M17 socket, Screwdriver

Supplies needed:

M5 flange nuts, M10 carriage bolts, M6 screws, M10 flange nuts, Push-in rivets

  1. Mount the Vertical Cable Manager

    Place the Vertical Cable Manager in the proper orientation and secure it using (3) M10 serrated flange bolts and (3) M10 serrated flange nuts.

  2. Install Backbone Panels

    Position the Backbone panels on both sides of the manager and secure them using (2) provided push-in rivets per side. Repeat for all 3 manager openings.

  3. Attach the VCM Top Cap

    Install the VCM Top Cap by positioning the front closing clip with the VCM and the rear channel of the rack. Secure it to the front of the VCM using a 5/16" screw and the rear closing clip to the rear channel of the rack using an M10 bolt and nut.

  4. Install End Panels

    Assemble the End Panel Channel by sliding the top channel into the bottom channel and securing with (2) M6 screws. Attach the End Panel Channel to the mounting brackets using (1) M6 screw per bracket.

  5. Secure the Top End Panel

    Remove the rear closing clip, rest the top End Panel on the manager and channel, replace the rear closing clip, and secure with (4) M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts.

  6. Prepare for Cable Installation

    To install cables through the Vertical Cable Manager Top Cap, remove (2) M5 screws from the topside of the Top Cap and the M10 nuts & bolts from the racks. Route cables through the brush entry and reassemble in the opposite order.
