Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Tak-Tys, Fiber caution label, Laser warning label

  1. Prepare the rack

    Ensure the rack is stable and has enough space for the FLEX4U04 enclosure. If RU space is open above, partially install two screws on each side of the rack.

  2. Mount the enclosure

    Secure the FLEX4U04 enclosure to the rack using a minimum of four screws. Ensure the enclosure is level and firmly attached.

  3. Install the trunk slack plate

    Engage the pins on the trunk slack plate into the slots on the enclosure and tilt down into place. Tighten the captive screws to secure.

  4. Route the cables

    Create a slack loop for all incoming trunk cables. Use Tak-Tys to secure trunk cables to the cable slack plate or vertical cable manager as needed.

    Open the enclosure door and pull the bottom tray out to the service position. Install patch cords into the front of the cassettes from left to right.
