Its standard barrel design features a center stop, guaranteeing proper cable installation and preventing over-insertion. For enhanced longevity and corrosion resistance, the AL6-14 is electro-tin plated. Each lug is clearly marked with its die index and color-coded for easy identification and selection of the correct crimping tool, simplifying inventory management and installation processes. This connector is pre-filled with an oxide inhibitor and capped to maintain internal integrity before use. The AL6-14 is cULus and UL486A/B Listed as a wire connector, and importantly, it is UL Listed for 35kV maximum when properly installed according to cable manufacturer specifications. It operates at a temperature rating of 90°C and is suitable for 600V applications (or up to 2000V per UL486B). The specific dimensions include a wire range of 6 AWG (expandable to 6-8 AWG), a 1/4" bolt size, a barrel outside diameter of 0.339", a barrel inside diameter of 0.201", a barrel length (B1) of 0.878", and a total length (L) of 2.008".
