Overview

Optimize your industrial wiring and cable management with the nVent F88WR66 Reducer Bushing. Engineered by nVent, this steel component (SKU: F88WR66) transitions wireway sizes from 8x8 inches to 6x6 inches. Its robust construction ensures durability in demanding industrial environments. The "Feed-Through Center Hole" design guarantees coaxial alignment, preventing cable strain and maintaining enclosure integrity. This is critical for applications requiring precise positioning, unlike edge hole bushings. The F88WR66 is essential for connecting wireway sections and fittings, creating protected pathways for electrical conductors and data cables. It adapts existing systems for flexibility and cost-effectiveness, contributing to efficient space utilization. Key features include precise size reduction (8x8 to 6x6 inches), center hole design for coaxial alignment, durable steel construction, and dust protection. Applications span manufacturing, automation, power generation, petrochemical, and telecommunications. Manufactured in the USA, it ensures safety, reliability, and longevity for your infrastructure. Installation is straightforward, reducing labor costs and project timelines. Certified by Canadian Standards Association.
  • Feed-Through Reducer Bushings are used for reducing to a smaller wireway size
  • The center hole bushing centers the two wireway sizes relative to each other while the edge hole bushing keeps the top surfaces even
  • Connects to other wireway sections and fittings and protects wires and cables against dust in a broad range of industrial applications
  • Provides effective dust protection for cables.
  • Manufactured in the USA and CSA certified.

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers, Threaded rods

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting at the desired extension. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure with clips, screws, and nuts.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, ensuring proper alignment with the wireway.

  7. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that provisions are made for grounding continuity across all fittings.
