Overview

The nVent F66WG Gasket and Screws Feed-Through Kit is an essential accessory for expanding and connecting nVent Hoffman Type 12 and 3R Fiberglass Wireway systems. Designed to seamlessly integrate with 6.00 x 6.00 inch (152 x 152 mm) wireway sections, this kit provides the necessary components to ensure secure and sealed joints, maintaining the integrity of your cable management infrastructure. When additional hardware is required for joining wireway sections, the F66WG kit offers a reliable solution. This specific kit includes a durable black neoprene gasket and a set of screws, engineered to meet the demanding requirements of industrial environments. The oil-resistant cover gasket, pre-attached with oil-resistant adhesive, and the solid oil-resistant flange gasket work in conjunction with the pultruded fiberglass polyester construction of the wireway to provide superior protection against corrosive elements and harsh conditions. This makes it ideal for applications where wires and cables are exposed to chemicals, oils, or significant environmental challenges. The nVent Hoffman Fiberglass Feed-Through Wireway system, for which this kit is designed, adheres to stringent industry standards, including NEMA Type 12, 3R, and IEC 60529, IP55. It also meets UL 94-5V flammability rating and the UL cold impact test for temperatures down to -35°C, ensuring safety and longevity. The wireway itself features sealed seams, no holes or knockouts, captivated Monel cover screws, and stainless steel flange screws, all contributing to a robust and maintenance-free installation. The gray interior and exterior finish provides a professional aesthetic. By utilizing the F66WG kit, installers can confidently extend their wireway runs, create complex configurations, and ensure that the environmental protection offered by the nVent Hoffman system is not compromised at connection points. This is particularly crucial in sectors such as chemical processing, manufacturing, food and beverage, and outdoor installations where cable protection is paramount. Trust nVent Hoffman for high-quality, durable solutions that safeguard your critical electrical infrastructure.

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them together using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert the body into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting at the desired extension. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut off the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld the extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure them with screws and nuts, ensuring all components are tightly fastened.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure proper sealing with additional gaskets.

  7. Install hangers

Assemble the hangers as shown in the details, ensuring they are positioned correctly and securely attached to the wireway flanges.
