Overview

Optimize your industrial wire and cable management with the nVent F66BB3C 3-Compartment Barrier Kit. This robust steel kit, finished in a neutral gray, is designed for 6.00x6.00 inch wireway systems, providing essential segmentation for up to three distinct compartments. This division is critical for maintaining organization, preventing cable damage, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes that mandate separation of different wire types, such as power, data, and control cables. The F66BB3C kit features plated spring steel brackets engineered for a secure, friction-fit installation, eliminating the need for specialized tools. This design ensures quick and efficient setup, minimizing downtime. By physically separating cables, you can improve signal integrity for sensitive data and communication lines and enhance the safety and longevity of power conductors. Key benefits include superior organization, enhanced cable protection, improved signal integrity by minimizing EMI and crosstalk, code compliance, and durable steel construction for demanding industrial settings. nVent is a recognized leader in electrical enclosure and wire management solutions. The F66BB3C exemplifies this, offering a practical solution for complex wiring challenges. nVent recommends spacing increments of approximately 3 feet for these barrier kits. Manufactured in the USA. How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, 90° sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible on both sides. Rotate the cam to lock the position.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° sealing plate between the wireway section and the enclosure surface.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert it into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

Ensure that the wireway is level and securely mounted. Verify that all connections are tight and that the wireway is properly sealed to prevent moisture ingress.
