How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Gaskets, Mounting screws, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible from above. Rotate the cam to lock the position.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° angle sealing plate to ensure a tight seal.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length before securing with screws.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

If using the telescope fitting in a vertical position, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom, and install screws with cap nuts and lockwashers to secure it.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

After installation, verify all connections and seals are tight, and ensure that the wireway is properly grounded if necessary.
