How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and functionality.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible from above. Rotate the cam to lock the position.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, then install a 90° angle sealing plate as described in the installation details.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert the body into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the installation

After securing all components, verify that the wireway is level and all joints are properly sealed to prevent any ingress of dust or moisture.
