How to Install the AL2CCCW Three-Point Latch Kit
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the AL2CCCW three-point latch kit on your enclosure door.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Drill, Screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Nylon washers, Handle gasket, Latch rods, Roller pin, Retaining ring
- Drill holes for latch installation
Locate and drill holes in the door from the outside edges using the dimensions provided in the installation guide. Ensure accuracy to avoid misalignment.
- Install nylon washers and handle gasket
Place nylon washers and the handle gasket on the outside of the door to ensure proper sealing. This step is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the enclosure.
- Adjust latch rods as necessary
If the latch rods are too long, select the appropriate hole and cut the rods approximately 3/8 inch from the center of the hole. Confirm the hole selection before cutting to avoid errors.
- Secure the roller pin
Insert the roller pin into the designated hole and secure it with the retaining ring. Adjust the roller pin position if the gasket compression is too great, moving it one hole at a time until proper compression is achieved.
- Position the latch
Use the provided washers to position the latch by spacing it in or out as required for optimal operation.
- Verify installation
After completing the installation, double-check all connections and ensure that the latch operates smoothly. Do not energize any circuits until all clearances are checked to avoid electric shock.
