Overview

The nVent AL2CR 3-Point Keylock Latch Kit provides secure field installation for standard one-door Type 12 enclosures with heights between 36 and 48 inches. This chrome-plated steel latch kit features a clockwise (CW) keylock mechanism for enhanced security, preventing unauthorized access to critical equipment. The three-point latching system ensures a tight, consistent seal across the entire door, maintaining NEMA Type 12 protection against dust, falling dirt, and light splashing of liquids. The latch rods are adjustable via pin relocation in rod guides, allowing precise gasket compression for long-term sealing performance. Rod ends include rollers for smoother door operation and reduced wear. All openings through the door are gasketed to guarantee a complete seal. Compatible with most standard Type 12 enclosures (excluding HOFFMAN disconnect, CONCEPT, or PROLINE models), the AL2CR is designed for demanding industrial environments where corrosion resistance and reliable sealing are essential. The robust steel construction with chrome plating offers excellent resistance to moisture and chemicals, making it ideal for manufacturing, automation, food processing, and water/wastewater treatment applications.
  • Each kit includes a handle, latch, latch rods, adjustable rod guides and all hardware
  • These kits are available with a key locking handle, a non-locking handle or a padlocking handle
  • Two keys are furnished with keylocking handles
  • Chrome-plated steel construction for corrosion resistance in harsh environments
  • Roller-equipped latch rods for smoother door operation and reduced wear
