- Prepare the Cable Jacket
Strip 2.00 inches (50.8mm) of the cable's outer jacket to expose the internal conductors and shielding.
- Prepare the Cable Shield
For F/UTP cables, fold the overall foil screen and drain wire backward, ensuring the conductive side faces outward. For S/FTP or U/FTP cables, split and twist the braid, and fold individual foil pair screens backward, ensuring the conductive side faces outward as shown in the diagrams.
- Orient the Jack and Arrange Conductors
Orient the keystone jack module as shown in the documentation. Arrange the individual conductors according to either the T568A or T568B wiring scheme, matching the color codes on the jack.
- Insert and Terminate Conductors
Insert the arranged conductors into the IDC towers of the jack's termination puck. Ensure no more than 1/8 inch (3.2mm) of untwisted wire extends from the IDC tower. Use the PDT110 tool to punch down and trim the conductors securely.
- Manage and Trim Shielding (F/UTP)
If using F/UTP cable, wrap the overall foil and drain wire around the outside of the terminated jack assembly as indicated. Trim any excess foil and drain wire to the appropriate length.
