Phillips screwdriver, Socket (11/32) for hex nuts
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cable glands, Incoming cable plates, Tak Ty
- Mount the enclosure
Secure the enclosure to a flat wall using appropriate mounting hardware. Ensure the wall is flat to prevent distortion.
- Install the incoming cable plate
Align the incoming cable plate with the incoming cable, ensuring it is positioned at a sufficient distance from the cable gland for workspace. Secure it using the mounting nuts from the side or top/bottom cover plates.
- Connect the cable glands
Remove the plastic plugs from the cutouts and replace them with the appropriate cable glands. Tighten the cable glands near the cut ends of the cables.
- Route the fiber cables
Strip the outer jacket of the fiber cables to expose at least 20 feet of fiber. Route the fibers within the enclosure and secure them using Tak Ty or saddle clips.
- Install splice trays
Insert the upper pin of the splice tray into the splice tray holder and snap the lower pin into the plastic snap holder. Ensure up to 24 splice trays can be installed in each holder.
- Calibrate and test connections
Use a multimeter to verify all connections are secure and functioning correctly. Ensure that the fiber connections are properly aligned and secured.
