This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FlexCore 4RU Universal Enclosure in a rack, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Tools needed:
Phillips head screwdriver
Supplies needed:
#10-32 X 1/4” screws, #12-24 X 1/2” screws, Pan Ty cable ties
- Remove the shipping bracket
Unscrew the Phillips head screws on the top and bottom of the enclosure to remove the shipping bracket.
- Mount the enclosure
Install the mounting brackets using 16 #10-32 X 1/4” screws. If there is space above the enclosure, pre-install two screws on each side of the rack to assist in mounting.
- Secure the enclosure
Place the enclosure into position and secure it with a minimum of four screws. Ensure the enclosure is level and tightly fastened.
- Install cassettes
Open the enclosure door, slide the tray out to the cassette change position, and install or replace cassettes as needed.
- Route patch cords
Install patch cords into the front of the cassettes from left to right, ensuring to group cables and secure them with Tak-ty cable ties to prevent snagging.
- Label the enclosure
Apply the provided labels to the tray surfaces and the front door of the enclosure for identification according to EIA606-B standards.
