Phillips head screwdriver
Supplies needed:
#10-32 X 1/4” screws, #12-24 X 1/2” screws, Pan Ty Cable Ties, Fiber caution label, Laser warning label
- Remove the shipping bracket
Unscrew the Phillips head screws on the top and bottom of the enclosure to remove the shipping bracket.
- Mount the enclosure
Secure the enclosure to the rack using a minimum of four #10-32 X 1/4” screws. If there is space above, pre-install two screws on each side to assist in mounting.
- Install the fiber cassettes
Open the enclosure door, slide the tray out to the cassette change position, and install the fiber cassettes as needed. Ensure to disconnect any patch cords if replacing cassettes.
- Label the cassettes
Clean the tray surface with alcohol and apply the provided labels according to the cassette type installed.
- Route and secure patch cords
Install patch cords into the front of the cassettes from left to right, securing them with Pan Ty Cable Ties to prevent snagging.
- Verify installation
Check that all screws are tightened and that the enclosure is securely mounted. Ensure that all labels are correctly applied and visible.
