- Disconnect Power
Ensure that all power to the system is disconnected to prevent electrical shock during installation.
- Mount the Controller
Secure the M2D40M-3 Controller to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. Ensure the controller is level and firmly attached.
- Strip and Attach Wires
Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length and attach them to the male and female motor disconnects as specified in the installation tables.
- Crimp Connectors
Use a crimping tool to securely crimp the connectors onto the wires, ensuring a solid connection.
- Connect the Wires
Push the male pin into the female barrel until fully inserted, creating a pigtail connection.
- Install Boot/Insulator
Slide the boot/insulator onto the pigtail connectors until it stops, ensuring proper insulation.
- Secure the Boot
Fasten the first cable tie at the middle of the boot/insulator and the second tie 1/4 inch from the end. Cut excess tie flush with the head.
- Dress Lead Assemblies
Carefully dress the lead assemblies into the junction box, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
- Verify Connections
Use a multimeter to verify that all connections are secure and properly insulated before reapplying power.
- Reconnect Power
Once all connections are verified, reconnect power to the system and perform initial testing.
