Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Ty-Rap cable ties
- Disconnect Power
Ensure that all power to the system is disconnected to prevent electrical shock during installation.
- Mount the Controller
Secure the MD8F-2 controller to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
- Strip and Attach Wires
Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length and attach them to the male and female motor disconnects as per the wire size specifications.
- Crimp Connectors
Use the appropriate crimping tool to crimp the connectors onto the wires securely.
- Connect Pins
Push the male pin into the female barrel until fully inserted, creating a secure connection.
- Install Boot/Insulator
Slide the boot/insulator onto the pigtail connectors until it stops, ensuring proper insulation.
- Secure with Cable Ties
Fasten the first cable tie at the middle of the boot/insulator and the second tie 1/4 inch from the end. Cut excess tie flush with the head.
- Dress Lead Assemblies
Carefully dress the lead assemblies into the junction box, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
- Verify Connections
Use a multimeter to verify all connections are secure and there are no shorts before reapplying power.
- Reconnect Power
Once all connections are verified, reconnect power to the system and perform a functional test of the MD8F-2 controller.
