The K650BIP insulating plug attaches and insulates Elastimold® K655/6BLR, K655BE, and K655BVS 600 A connectors.

For the 28kV voltage class, the maximum phase-to-ground operating voltage is 16.2kV.

Each K650BIP kit contains one insulating plug with cap, one tube of lubricant (82-08), and one installation instruction (IS-0230).

The K650BIP can be easily connected or disconnected using standard hand tools and equipment when in a de-energized state.

For the 28kV voltage class, the BIL impulse withstand rating is 140kV (1.2 x 50 microsecond wave).

The maximum phase-to-phase voltage for the 28kV voltage class is 28kV.

The K650BIP has a momentary current rating of 25kA symmetrical for 10 cycles, applicable to both voltage classes.

The K650BIP has a continuous current rating of 600 Amps for both 15kV and 28kV voltage classes.

For the 15kV voltage class, the BIL impulse withstand rating is 95kV (1.2 x 50 microsecond wave).

The maximum phase-to-phase voltage for the 15kV voltage class is 14.4kV.
