2Hole Short Barrel Copper Compression Lug for Flexible Copper Cable3/0AWG - 1/2" Bolt Compression lugs for flexible copper cables are connects that have a gentle, continuous flared end to ensure ease of cable insertion of flexible and extra flexible cables such as locomotive, welding, mining cable and more. The flared end also reduces pressure on the cable strands after installation and protects them from chafing and breakage as a result of cable movement. Tin-plated for corrosion resistance. Rated 600 volts for copper cables only. Single mounting hole.

Estimated time: 15m
Tools needed:
Wire strippers, Wire brush or emery cloth, Crimping tool (appropriate die)
Supplies needed:
54811 Two Way Splicer, Insulating method (e.g., shrink tubing, adhesive pad)
- Prepare the cable
Strip the insulation from the cable to the length specified in the product's table. Ensure the cable strands are not nicked and the cable end is clean. Use a wire brush or emery cloth if necessary.
- Insert cable into connector
Insert the prepared cable end into the 54811 connector until it stops.
- Crimp the connector
Insert the connector into the appropriate die on your crimping tool. Compress the connector between the markings according to the number of compressions specified for your connector and die combination. Ensure you are using the correct installing die as specified in the product's table. WARNING: DO NOT CRIMP ON ENERGIZED WIRES.
- Finish the connection
After crimping, remove any sharp edges, flash, or burrs from the connection. Apply the appropriate insulating method as shown in the product's table.
