How to Install T&B 5371 Series Liquidtight Connectors
This guide provides instructions for the proper installation of T&B 5371 series 90-degree liquidtight connectors with flexible metallic conduit, ensuring high performance and reliability in accordance with electrical codes.

Hacksaw (32 Tooth/ln. no. set, sharp) or Power band saw, Metal jig (optional), Wrench, Hand protection, Eye protection
Supplies needed:
Liquidtight flexible metallic conduit, T&B 5371 Series Liquidtight Connector, T&B 140 series locknuts (for knockout applications), T&B 5260 series sealing gaskets (for knockout applications)
- Disconnect Power and Prepare Conduit
WARNING: Risk of shock, disconnect power before installation. CAUTION: Product should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Wear hand protection and eye protection. Cut the flexible conduit with a clean, square end cut. Use a metal jig, a 32 Tooth/ln. no. set sharp hacksaw, or a power band saw (24-32 Tooth/ln. wavy set, not more than 400’/minute). Do not use an abrasive wheel.
- Assemble Components onto Conduit
Slide the gland nut onto the prepared flexible metallic conduit. Next, slide the nylon sealing ring onto the conduit. Finally, thread the Safe Edge™ Cone into the end of the conduit.
- Install Connector Body into Knockout Box
Insert the 5371 series connector body through the knockout hole in the box wall from the outside. Ensure the captive 'O' ring on the connector body is correctly positioned against the outside of the box. Secure the connector body from the inside of the box using a T&B 140 series locknut and a T&B 5260 series sealing gasket (if required, purchased separately).
- Connect Conduit to Connector Body
Thread the conduit assembly (with gland nut, sealing ring, and Safe Edge™ Cone) onto the connector body. Tighten the gland nut to the specified torque based on the trade size of the fitting: 3/8" to 200 lb.-in.; 1/2" to 300 lb.-in.; 3/4" to 500 lb.-in.; and 1" to 700 lb.-in.
