How to Install the VC2516004 VCool System

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the VC2516004 VCool System for effective cooling of industrial cabinets.

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Locknut, Ducting kit, Cold air muffler, Compressed air filter, Solenoid valve, Thermostat

  1. Prepare the enclosure

    Cut a 1-15/16” (49 mm) hole in the enclosure to accommodate the VCool unit.

  2. Install the VCool unit

    Insert the VCool into the cut-out hole and secure it with the locknut to ensure a tight fit.

  3. Attach the cold air muffler

    Connect the cold air muffler to the outlet of the VCool to direct the cooled air into the enclosure.

  4. Install the ducting kit

    Perforate the ducting kit with several 1/8” holes and secure it to the interior of the enclosure to enhance airflow.

  5. Connect the ducting kit

    Attach the ducting kit to the cold air muffler to ensure proper air distribution within the enclosure.

  6. Wire the components

    Connect the compressed air filter, solenoid valve, and thermostat to the VCool, ensuring the thermostat is wired directly to the solenoid valve.

  7. Connect the compressed air supply

    Attach the compressed air supply line to the filter, ensuring it is located where the temperature does not exceed 125°F (52°C).

  8. Verify installation

    Check all connections and ensure the VCool is installed in a vertical orientation with the silver cap facing up.
