How to Install the VC171604X VCool System

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the VC171604X VCool System for effective cooling of industrial cabinets.

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Ducting kit

  1. Prepare the installation site

    Cut a 1-15/16” (49 mm) hole in the enclosure where the VC171604X will be installed. Ensure the area is clean and free of debris.

  2. Mount the VCool System

    Insert the VC171604X into the cut-out and secure it with the locknut. Ensure the unit is installed in a vertical orientation with the silver cap facing upwards.

  3. Connect the cold air muffler

    Attach the cold air muffler to the outlet of the VC171604X. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent air leaks.

  4. Install the ducting kit

    Perforate the ducting kit with several 1/8” holes and secure it to the interior of the enclosure. Connect the ducting kit to the cold air muffler.

  5. Wire the components

    Connect the compressed air filter, solenoid valve, and thermostat to the VC171604X. Wire the thermostat directly to the solenoid valve.

  6. Connect the compressed air supply

    Connect the compressed air supply to the filter. Ensure that the filter and solenoid valve are installed close to the VC171604X in a location where the temperature does not exceed 125°F (52°C).

  7. Verify the installation

    Check all connections for leaks and ensure that the system is properly wired. Use a multimeter to verify electrical connections.

  8. Calibrate the thermostat

    Adjust the thermostat using the temperature indicator dial to set the desired cooling temperature.
