How to Install the VCool System Model VC0916004
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the VCool System Model VC0916004, ensuring proper setup and configuration for optimal cooling performance.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Locknut, Ducting kit, Cold air muffler, Compressed air filter, Solenoid valve, Thermostat
- Prepare the enclosure
Cut a 1-15/16” (49 mm) hole in the enclosure to accommodate the VCool unit.
- Mount the VCool unit
Insert the VCool into the cut-out and secure it with the locknut, ensuring it is oriented vertically with the silver cap facing up.
- Attach the cold air muffler
Connect the cold air muffler to the outlet of the VCool unit to direct the cooled air into the enclosure.
- Install the ducting kit
Perforate the ducting kit with several 1/8” holes and secure it to the interior of the enclosure, then attach it to the cold air muffler.
- Connect the compressed air components
Wire the compressed air filter, solenoid valve, and thermostat to the VCool unit, ensuring the thermostat is wired directly to the solenoid valve.
- Connect the compressed air supply
Attach the compressed air supply line to the filter, ensuring that the filter is installed in a location where the temperature does not exceed 125°F (52°C).
- Verify installation
Check all connections for leaks and ensure that the VCool unit is functioning properly before closing the enclosure.
