How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure, ensuring proper ventilation and cooling.

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired side of the enclosure and verify that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the hole
Using the appropriate drill bit, cut out the hole in the enclosure as per the size specified for your model. Deburr the cutting edge to ensure a smooth finish.
- Install the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout and push until all four corners snap and lock into place. If necessary, use mounting fasteners for thicker materials.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply, ensuring all connections are secure.
- Verify installation
Check that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 inches (178 mm) from any obstructions to ensure proper airflow.
