How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the opening
Cut the hole in the enclosure using the appropriate size for your model. Deburr the cutting edge to ensure a smooth finish.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure the installation
If the enclosure material is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For materials thicker than 0.14 (3.5 mm), fasteners are required to maintain the IP rating.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Use a multimeter to verify connections.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstructions.
