How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure.
- Cut the hole
Cut out the hole in the enclosure using the appropriate size for the model purchased. Ensure to deburr the cutting edge to avoid sharp edges.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure with fasteners
If the panel thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), fasteners are required. Remove the grille to install fasteners if necessary.
- Torque fasteners
Torque the fasteners to 20-25 in-lbs (2.3-2.8 Nm) to ensure a secure fit.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstruction.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan appropriately.
