How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure, ensuring proper fit and functionality.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure all internal components are clear of the cutting tool to avoid damage.
- Cut the opening
Cut the hole in the enclosure according to the appropriate size for the model purchased. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Install mounting fasteners
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), removal of the grille is required to install the fasteners.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wire diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Verify installation
Check that the enclosure with the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) to ensure proper airflow.
