How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure, ensuring proper airflow and cooling.

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the opening
Using the appropriate tool, cut the hole in the enclosure according to the size specified for your model. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.
- Install the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place. If necessary, use mounting fasteners for thicker materials.
- Secure the installation
If using mounting fasteners, remove the grille and drill out the mounting holes as needed. Torque the fasteners to 20-25 in-lbs (2.3-2.8 Nm) to ensure a secure fit.
- Wire the fan
Follow the wire diagrams provided for your specific model to connect the filter fan. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
- Verify clearance
