How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the installation and setup of the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, .25−20 screws, Cap nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them together using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned and secure it with the compression ring and screws.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting at the desired extension. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the cut end and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Attach the swivel ring to the wireway flange with screws and nuts, then secure the swivel nipple with clips.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure another gasket is placed between the wireway and the enclosure surface.

  7. Verify connections

Use a multimeter to check all connections for continuity and ensure proper grounding if required.
