How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and assembling the Lay-In Wireway, ensuring proper sealing and support for electrical wiring.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

After installing the wires, seal each joint between sections using either the LSGQR fitting or a 90° angle sealing plate, ensuring gaskets are properly positioned.

  3. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting by inserting the body into the straight section, adjusting to the desired length, and securing it with screws and nuts.

  4. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the fitting and straight section, then install screws and cap nuts to secure it.

  5. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the control enclosure for the wireway entry, position the box connector and gaskets, and install a sealing plate as described.

  6. Calibrate the installation

Ensure all sections are level and securely fastened, and verify that all seals are tight to prevent moisture ingress.
