Overview

Optimize wire management within nVent F44 wireway systems using the nVent F44B360 Steel Barrier Kit. This bracket-mounted barrier system is designed for 4.00 x 4.00 inch (102 x 102 mm) wireway, enabling the division of a single channel into two or three distinct compartments. This compartmentalization is crucial for segregating different types of electrical circuits, such as power, data, and control wiring, enhancing system reliability and safety. The F44B360 barrier itself measures 60.00 inches (1524 mm) in length and has a width of 3.00 inches (76 mm). It utilizes plated spring steel brackets for a secure, friction-fit installation, eliminating the need for additional hardware and simplifying the setup process. Constructed from durable steel, this barrier kit provides resistance suitable for industrial environments. The kit includes one package of five sealing plates. Brackets are sold separately. Manufactured in the US. The gray finish ensures a professional appearance. This product is ideal for industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and data centers requiring organized and segregated wire routing. The nVent F44B360 is compatible with nVent F44 wireway configurations.

How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing the Lay-In Wireway sections for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting, leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side. Install with a shoulder bolt through the flange and ensure gaskets are visible from above.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the enclosure for the box connector and position a gasket inside the enclosure. Then, install a 90° angle sealing plate between the wireway section and the enclosure surface.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert the body into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used in a vertical position, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

After installation, verify that all sections are securely fastened and that the wireway is level. Ensure all gaskets are properly seated to prevent moisture ingress.
