How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

    Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

    After installing the wires, seal each joint between sections using either the LSGQR fitting or a 90° sealing plate, ensuring gaskets are visible and properly positioned.

  3. Install box entries

    Make a cutout in the enclosure for the box connector and position a gasket inside the enclosure. Then, install a 90° angle sealing plate to secure the connection.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

    Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert the body into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

    Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and cap nuts to secure the fitting.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

    Ensure that the wireway is level and securely mounted. Verify grounding continuity if the wireway is to be used for grounding purposes.
