Overview

The nVent F126LX Cutoff Fitting (SKU: F126LX) is a robust steel fitting designed for industrial applications requiring secure and precise conduit termination. Manufactured by nVent, a trusted leader in electrical connection and protection solutions, this non-lay-in fitting offers exceptional durability and performance. Its gray, painted-over-plated finish ensures corrosion resistance and longevity in demanding environments. This cutoff fitting is engineered for applications where a clean, non-lay-in entry into an enclosure is necessary. The two-piece body construction allows for custom length adjustments, enabling installers to achieve the exact fit required for their specific project. The process involves shortening both the body and the cover to the desired dimensions and then welding them together. Additionally, a flange can be welded onto the shortened body, providing a secure mounting point for integration into various electrical systems. This method ensures a professional and reliable connection, crucial for maintaining the integrity of electrical pathways and protecting sensitive equipment. Key features and benefits of the nVent F126LX include: * **Customizable Length:** The two-piece body and cover design allows for precise shortening to meet specific installation requirements, up to 12.00 inches (305 mm). * **Secure Termination:** Designed for non-lay-in applications, ensuring a clean and secure entry point into enclosures. * **Durable Construction:** Fabricated from high-quality steel for superior strength and resistance to physical impact. * **Corrosion Resistance:** Features a painted-over-plated surface treatment for enhanced protection against rust and environmental degradation. * **Versatile Integration:** Can be welded to flanges for seamless integration into complex electrical infrastructure. * **Reliable Manufacturer:** Backed by the expertise and quality assurance of nVent, a globally recognized provider of electrical solutions. Professionals in sectors such as manufacturing, power generation, and infrastructure development rely on fittings like the F126LX for critical electrical installations. The ability to customize the fitting's length on-site reduces waste and streamlines the installation process, leading to greater efficiency and cost savings. The non-lay-in design is particularly important in applications where electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding or stringent environmental sealing is required. When selecting cutoff fittings, engineers and electricians prioritize products that offer both mechanical integrity and ease of installation, ensuring the long-term safety and reliability of electrical systems. The nVent F126LX meets these demands, providing a dependable solution for challenging industrial environments. Its origin in the USA further underscores a commitment to quality manufacturing standards.

How to Install the F126LX Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the F126LX wireway system, ensuring proper assembly and sealing for optimal performance.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible from above. Rotate the cam to lock the position.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a sealing plate as described in the installation instructions.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting. Insert the body into the straight section and adjust to the desired length, ensuring proper sealing.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

After installation, verify all connections and seals using a multimeter to ensure proper electrical continuity and grounding.
