How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting, leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side, and install it with a shoulder bolt. Ensure gaskets are visible from above and rotate the cam to lock.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the enclosure for the box connector, position the gasket inside, and install a sealing plate as described in the installation instructions.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

Ensure that all sections are aligned properly and that the wireway is level before finalizing the installation.
