How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Lay-In Wireway, including assembly, sealing joints, and making box entries.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting, leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side. Install with a shoulder bolt through the flange and ensure gaskets are visible from above.

  3. Make box entries

Cut out the enclosure as shown in the installation details. Position the box connector and a gasket inside the enclosure, and place another gasket between the wireway section and the enclosure's outer surface.

  4. Install the sealing plate

After making box entries, install a 90° angle sealing plate as described in the installation details to ensure a proper seal.

  5. Adjust and anchor telescope fittings

Assemble the telescope fitting with a compression ring and gasket. Insert it into the straight section and adjust to the desired length. Anchor it by drilling holes and installing screws as necessary.
