Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, AVT System Cable

  1. De-energize the circuit

Ensure that the power to the circuit is completely turned off and follow lockout/tagout procedures to prevent accidental energization.

  2. Mount the Isolation Module

Secure the Isolation Module to the DIN rail or surface using screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached to prevent movement.

  3. Connect the Sensor Leads

Terminate the sensor leads to the corresponding phase conductors and ground. Ensure that leads of the same color are connected to the same conductor and avoid mechanical connections between sensor leads.

  4. Install the Indicator Module

Mount the Indicator Module in a 30-mm notched panel knockout. Ensure the notch is positioned on top for proper alignment.

  5. Connect the AVT System Cable

Use the included AVT System Cable to connect the Isolation Module to the Indicator Module. Do not use standard Ethernet cables.

  6. Ground the system

Ensure the Isolation Module is solidly grounded and bonded to the protective conductor terminal of the enclosure to ensure proper operation.

  7. Verify connections

Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the sensor leads and ensure they are properly connected to the circuit conductors.

  8. Test the Absence of Voltage

Press the test button on the Indicator Module to verify the absence of voltage. The green Absence of Voltage Indicator should illuminate if the installation is correct.

  9. Complete the installation

Apply the yellow Instruction Label to the outside of the enclosure near the Indicator Module to mark the test location.
