How to Install the UVP036 External Battery Pack
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for mounting and wiring the UVP036 External Battery Pack in a rack environment.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cage nuts, Terminal connectors
- Prepare the rack
Install the URMKIT2 rail kit by securing the front side of the rail kit with 3x Phillips Pan Head M5 screws on each rail. Do not tighten the screws yet.
- Install the rear rail
Adjust the rail size according to the depth of the rack and then install the rear side of the rail kit with 3x Phillips Pan Head M5 screws on each rail. Tighten all 12 screws to secure the rail kit to the rack.
- Install cage nuts
Install 4x M5 cage nuts in the rack front equipment rail, placing one in each of the first locations below the bottom rail kit screw and one in each of the first locations above the top rail kit screw.
- Mount the UVP036
Remove the faceplate from the UVP036 by pressing both sides until the latches release. Connect the internal battery cartridges and then reinstall the faceplate.
- Secure the UVP036
Slide the UVP036 into the rack on the rail kit. Align the mounting brackets with the screw holes on the rack and secure the UVP036 with the supplied 4x Phillips Hex Head M5 screws.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to check all electrical connections for proper voltage and ensure that the unit is grounded correctly before powering on.
