How to Install the U03N12L UPS

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the U03N12L Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) in a rack environment.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Cage nuts, Terminal connectors

  1. Prepare the mounting area

    Ensure the rack is stable and located in an environment within the operating parameters (0-40°C, 20-90% humidity).

  2. Install the rail kit

    Attach the front side of the rail kit to the rack using 3x Phillips Pan Head M5 screws on each rail. Do not tighten the screws yet.

  3. Secure the rail kit

    Install the rear side of the rail kit with 3x Phillips Pan Head M5 screws on each rail and tighten all 12 screws to secure the rail kit to the rack.

  4. Install cage nuts

    Insert 4x M5 cage nuts into the rack front equipment rail, placing one in each of the first locations below and above the rail kit screws.

  5. Connect the internal battery cartridge

    Remove the faceplate of the UPS by pressing both sides until the latches release. Connect the internal battery cartridge connector firmly.

  6. Mount the UPS

    Slide the UPS into the rack on the rail kit and align the mounting brackets with the rack screw holes. Secure the UPS with 4x Phillips Hex Head M5 screws.

  7. Verify connections

    Use a multimeter to check all electrical connections for proper voltage and grounding before powering on the UPS.
