How to Install the OFCD6517BF Dome Closure
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the OFCD6517BF Dome Closure, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Tools needed:
3/8" & 7/16" Can wrench or socket, 1/4” Nut driver or screwdriver, Snips, Fiber optic cable opening tools
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cable grommets, Silicone lubricant, Hose clamps, Strength member brackets, Disposable gloves
- Prepare the Organizer Assembly
Remove the support bar mounting clip from the organizer assembly and the end plate from the organizer assembly.
- Assemble the Organizer
Reassemble the organizer assembly to the end plate using the mounting clip and secure with a 1/4" hex bolt and nut.
- Insert Cables
If using cut cable, insert the cable through the grommet. Measure the cable diameter to determine the appropriate grommet hole location.
- Secure the Strength Member
Trim the strength member flush with the end of the strength member bracket and install the cap on the strength member bracket.
- Install the Dome and Collar
Lubricate all surfaces around the gasket with silicone lubricant, position the dome over the end plate, and secure the collar with the latch and pin.
- Perform Flash Test
Remove the cap from the air valve of the end plate, pressurize the closure up to a maximum of 10 psi, and check for leaks using soapy water.
