This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLEX-RAIL06EN enclosure onto a rack, ensuring proper mounting and cable management.

Mounting screws, Cable ties, Fiber caution label, Laser warning label
- Prepare the rack
Identify the desired rack unit (RU) position for the enclosure. If there is open RU space above, partially install two screws on each side of the rack to assist in mounting.
- Mount the enclosure
Position the enclosure onto the rack, ensuring the mounting brackets rest on the partially installed screws. Open the enclosure door to access the mounting holes, then install and tighten a minimum of four screws to secure the enclosure.
- Install the trunk slack plate
Attach the trunk slack plate to the rear of the enclosure by engaging the pins into the slots and tilting it down into place. Tighten the captive screws to secure the plate.
- Route the cables
Create a slack loop for all incoming trunk cables, ensuring at least 28" of slack for split routing. Use cable ties to secure the trunk cables to the slack plate or vertical cable manager.
- Install cassettes
Attach trunk cabling to the rear port of the first cassette. Insert the cassette into the bottom-most slot on the right and push forward until it clicks into place. Repeat for additional cassettes, populating from right to left.
- Install rear cover
Slide the rear cover over the installed slack plate and fasten it by depressing the plungers into the holes on the slack plate. Ensure the middle tongue of the rear cover is situated underneath the center flange bracket.
- Label the enclosure
Apply the fiber caution and laser warning labels to the enclosure as required. Use appropriate labeling standards to identify ports and trays.
