This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLEX-RAIL04EN enclosure on a DIN rail, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Mounting screws, Cable ties, Fiber caution label, Laser warning label
- Prepare the installation site
Ensure the installation area is clean and free of obstructions. Verify that the rack space is appropriate for the FLEX-RAIL04EN enclosure.
- Mount the enclosure
Secure the enclosure to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. If applicable, pre-install screws in the bottom hole location of the rack position desired, ensuring the enclosure is level and firmly attached.
- Install the trunk slack plate
Engage the pins on the trunk slack plate into the slots on the enclosure and tilt down into place. Tighten captive screws to secure the plate.
- Connect the fiber cables
Attach the trunk cabling to the rear port of the cassette or FAP to be installed. Ensure the polarity is correct as indicated on the cassette.
- Install cassettes
Insert cassettes into the slots starting from the bottom-most slot on the right. Push forward until they click into place, populating each row from right to left.
- Secure the rear cover
Slide the rear cover over the installed slack plate and fasten it by depressing the plungers into the holes on the slack plate.
- Label the installation
Apply the fiber caution label and laser warning label to the appropriate locations on the enclosure to ensure safety compliance.
- Verify installation
Use a multimeter to check all connections for continuity and ensure that the enclosure is properly grounded. Confirm that all components are securely mounted.
