How to Install the FLEX-CM-1UBKIT Cable Management Bracket
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLEX-CM-1UBKIT cable management bracket on a rack or cabinet.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
#10-32 x 1" Screws, #10-32 Wing Nuts, #10 Washers, #12-24 x 1/2" Mounting Screws, M6 x 1.0 x 15mm Screws, Cage Nuts
- Mount the Front and Rear Brackets
Align the front mounting brackets to the rack and secure them using #12-24 x 1/2" or M6 x 1.0 x 15mm screws. Repeat this for the rear mounting brackets, ensuring they are aligned with the front brackets.
- Attach the Brackets Together
Using #10-32 x 1" screws, #10 washers, and #10-32 wing nuts, loosely fasten the rear mounting brackets to the front mounting brackets through the horizontal slots. Do not fully tighten the wing nuts at this time.
- Install the Strain Relief Bar
Position the strain relief bar onto the brackets and push down on the fastener plungers to secure it. Once secured, fully tighten the wing nuts on the screws connecting the front and rear brackets.
- Install Cable Management Clips
Attach the cable management clips to the universal cable manager bracket by pushing the fastener plungers in to secure them. Ensure to populate the clips from the base outward as needed.
- Route and Secure Cables
Use Tak-Ty (hook-n-loop cable ties) to secure trunk cables to the strain relief bar. Allow sufficient slack for movement and ensure cables are routed correctly to avoid tangling.
