How to Install the 4900M Ducting System
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the 4900M ducting system in a server or switch cabinet.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wrench, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Cage nuts, Mounting screws (#12-24), Ducting assembly, Duct box, Star washers (#12)
- Install cage nuts
Insert (2) cage nuts per equipment rail at the 4900M component mounting locations. Ensure to install (1) grounding cage nut (green) in each equipment rail.
- Mount left and right hand brackets
Loosen the two nuts for the adjustment bracket and adjust it to match the distance between the front and rear rails. Align the left hand bracket with the desired rack space and fasten it using (2) #12-24 screws in both the front and rear rails. Repeat for the right hand bracket.
- Install ducting assembly
Attach (1) ducting assembly to the left hand bracket using (3) #10-32 nuts. Align the duct with the pem studs in the left hand bracket and secure it.
- Install duct box
Insert the duct box into both the left and right hand brackets by sliding it along the lower flange. Push in until the stop is reached, then secure the box with (2) #12-24 screws and (2) #12 star washers.
- Label orientation
Once the duct box is installed, remove the Panduit label, rotate it 180 degrees, and re-apply the label.
