Supplies needed:
#6-32 x 1/4" flat head Phillips screws, Splice chip adhesive tape, Cable ties, Heat shrink tubing
- Remove the cover
Unscrew the three #6-32 x 1/4" flat head Phillips screws to remove the cover from the splice cassette.
- Install the splice chip
Use the splice chip adhesive tape to secure the splice chip in the center of the cassette. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Insert fiber cables
Feed the fiber cables into the rear of the splice chip, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured.
- Secure cables with cable ties
Use the provided cable ties to secure the fiber cables in place, preventing any movement that could damage the fibers.
- Apply heat shrink tubing
Bring the cables through the heat shrink tubing and use a heat gun to shrink the tubing, ensuring a tight seal around the cables.
