Supplies needed:
#6-32 x 1/4" flat head Phillips screws, Splice chip adhesive tape, Cable ties, Heat shrink tubing
- Remove the cover
Use a screwdriver to remove the three screws securing the splice cassette cover. Set the cover aside.
- Install the splice chip
Center the splice chip on the base and secure it using the splice chip adhesive tape. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Insert fiber cables
Install the fiber cables into the rear of the splice chip, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured.
- Secure cables with cable ties
Use cable ties to secure the fiber cables, ensuring they are not under excessive tension or bending.
- Heat shrink the cables
Bring the cables through the heat shrink tubing and apply heat using a heat gun to shrink the tubing securely around the cables.
