This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the CID2RU16-20DB1 Inlet Duct, including mounting, wiring, and securing components.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Utility Knife, Torque Wrench
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws (M3, M4, M5, M6), Cage nuts, Flap seal, Grounding screws
- Mount the Inlet Duct
Secure the Inlet Duct onto the front equipment mounting rails using the provided M6 x 1 x 15mm screws. Tighten the top two screws to a torque of 7.3 N·m [65 in·lbs] but do not tighten the bottom screws at this time.
- Install the Switch Rails
Replace the existing switch rails with the provided rails using either M3 x 0.5 x 8mm or M4 x 0.7 x 10mm screws. Ensure the tapered ends of the rails are facing inward and tighten to the specified torque.
- Secure the Switch
Slide the switch into the Inlet Duct and secure it to the rear equipment mounting rail using M5 x 0.8 x 12mm screws. Tighten to a torque of 5.1 N·m [45 in·lbs].
- Attach the Flap Seal
Loosen the wing nuts inside the Inlet Duct and adjust the bracket until it aligns with the rear of the switch. Attach the flap seal to close off the open space.
- Install the Perforated Front Plate
Install the perforated front plate over the two bottom M6 x 1 x 15mm screws that were left loose. Rotate the plate into place and secure it by tightening the screws to 7.3 N·m [65 in·lbs].
- Ground the Installation
Install the four #12-24 grounding screws into the grounding cage nuts and tighten them to a torque of 5.1 N·m [45 in·lbs].
- Route the Cables
Use a utility knife to slit the power grommets along the guides for cable routing. Ensure that cables are routed properly through the grommets.
